Sweden, the EU, and the U.S. – Opportunities and Challenges for Foreign Policy and Diplomacy

Join us in welcoming Ambassador of Sweden to the U.S. Karin Olofsdotter for a lecture and moderated discussion, followed by a reception.

During her visit, Ambassador Olofsdotter will share perspectives on a variety of topics critical to Sweden, the U.S., and the EU including transatlantic security, trade, and opportunities and challenges for foreign policy and diplomacy.

About the Ambassador

Ambassador Olofsdotter’s public career has spanned more than two decades. Previously, she served as Director-General for Trade and was head of the Department for Promotion of Sweden, Trade and CSR in Sweden’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She also served as ambassador in Budapest, Hungary, and in the Swedish embassies in the U.S. and Russia, as well as in the Mission of Sweden to NATO and the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the EU in Brussels. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Lund University.
