The Honorable Ahmed D. Hussen, Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, spoke to an at-capacity crowd at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs during a recent visit to Minnesota. His presentation focused on Canada’s measured approach to immigration and refugee resettlement policies, including plans for a gradual increase in immigration over the next three years. He also met with resettlement agency staff and other advocates, and members of the local Somali community. Minister Hussen’s visit was presented in partnership with the Consulate General of Canada in Minneapolis and the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
