Global Conversations: Foreign Policy in an Election Year

May 18, 2016 @ 6:30 pm CDT

/ Free

Registration is closed. Walk-ins welcome.

This year’s race for the White House is proving anything is possible. Anything. And voters are learning more about where candidates stand on important issues, including the international role of the U.S. With foreign policy rhetoric as unique as the presidential hopefuls themselves, the remaining months leading up to the 2016 election are critical to defining the U.S.’ global role and persona.

Tom Hanson, former U.S. Foreign Service Officer and Diplomat in Residence at the University of Minnesota – Duluth, will discuss the 5 key foreign policy challenges facing the candidates and what they mean for the U.S.

Global Conversations is brought to you in partnership with the Friends of the Minneapolis Central Library.
