Culture Through Cuisine: Philippines

April 17, 2023 @ 6:00 pm CDT

/ $45 – $55

This event is SOLD OUT. Please reach out to our Events Manager Katie Kelley at [email protected] with any questions.

Join us for a kamayan, a traditional feast from the Philippines in which no utensils are used. Lumpia (egg rolls), longaniza (sausages), ukoy (yam fritters), tocino (pork shoulder), tilapia, and fresh fruit and veggies are displayed on banana leaves.

Hear from Sherwin Resurreccion, one of Apoy’s owners, about the kamayan tradition and the process of opening one of the first Filipino restaurants in the Twin Cities.

Registration includes a selection of appetizers and entrées, light dessert, and a soft drink. A cash bar will be available as well. See Apoy’s drink menu here.

Speaker:

Sherwin Resurreccion, owner of Apoy
